After upgrading to El Capitan I can't access iPhoto and the app needed is unavailabe in US app store is message I receive. Please Help.

Which app was that: iPhoto 9.6.1 or the new Photos? Did you download the iPhoto 9.6.1 app as described in the user tip; that Ho Lee Mackerel provided?
